To play devil's advocate for a moment: I've been in situations where I realized that I was 100% reliant on a car not failing. The only real difference here is a warning message -- in the other situation, it was a rental car, and the only thing that got me thinking was the temperature gauge hitting the "cold" stop every time the thermostat opened.
Need help to reset adblue warning 2013 Passat. Today the warning to refill the adblue tank popped up. I put 2.5 gal into the tank and tried to get the warning to go away. I tried turning on the car but not the engine and putting the gas pedal to the floor to have the glow plug light pop up but it never did show.

Look out for this AdBlue warning light. This warning light means that you have about 1,500 miles of fluid left. You should look to fill up your tank as soon as possible to avoid it running out. How to Reset the Warning Light. The best way to clear the warning light is to refill your AdBlue tank.
This is how you reset the Inspection warning message on a VW Golf 6 or Caddy/ See my other videos for the service warning reset procedure.
Warning went away and the adblue range went to 4000 miles. All good, set off on a drive. About an hour in, the sensor warning pinged again, saying there was 650 miles left. Went and bought another 5 litres to try and reset it - it all went in, so 10 litres in total today. Started up, same procedure but the warning is still there.
