Starting out: Doc's House. This guide will give you the highest SPECIAL possible and 100 in every skill stat. Base stats (Vigor tester machine): * Don't set any skill higher than 9, then you will waste the free points that implants give. * Set Strength to 7 max. You get 3 points for free.
Another possible fix I found is going to Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\redists and clicking on the vcredistx86.exe which should give you the option to either uninstall Microsoft C++ or repair it. If that fails you could try Verifying the integrity of your game files or reinstalling your game as a whole. #3.
The easiest way to find out is trying. In theory its probably easier to transfer your steam save game to the epic version and use it there. However since its a very old game, transfering the DLCs to steam MIGHT work, if the game launcher (not steam) is just checking if there're (compatible) DLCs present in the directory tree by ignoring the DRM.
People always recommend new vegas cuz it's best fallout (by rpg standards) and to there eyes, it's bad to enjoy fallout 4 or 3. I would recommend 3 for the start then new vegas. While I gave new vegas harsh words I would still recommend it, if u looking for classic rpg type. If u like having rpg in but prefer exploring than fallout 3 is for you.
This guide will show you every console command in Fallout: New Vegas. You can open the console by pressing the backquote key (`) while in game. The backquote key shifts to tilde (~) on US. keyboards. You can also type "help" in the console for the list of commands, but I find it very unorganized. Huge props to the Fallout: New Vegas wiki, I
Moshua May 9, 2022 @ 4:29pm. Yes, Bethesda recently updated the game so it runs on newer systems without the Games for Windows live feature. However if you are running any mods at all, for example FOSE (You should 110% be using FOSE if you are playing F3 modern day) then you will have to downgrade the game in order for essential mods to work
Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have amazing mod communities and I want to use mods with New Vegas, but I'm also a little skeptical as to whether or not Steam will still track my play time and unlock achievements, which I would honestly like to keep doing. If anyone can help me with this question I'd be very appreciative.
Generating Fresh INI Files. Run the game from Steam, GOG Galaxy, or through FalloutNVLauncher.exe in the game files if you are using an offline copy. Click OK to both pop-ups that say Detecting Video Hardware. If there aren't any pop-ups, navigate to Documents\My Games\FalloutNV and delete all the files ending in .INI then retry.
