So this weekend I stuck in a bottle of Wynns DPF cleaner and did a massive burn round the M25. I mean massive - 70mph ave for 40-60 mins. RPMs hovering around 2k and above.

@mareng, do you maybe know, why from time to time after regeneration almost ends, pm_gen from 0 jumps to 1 and then regenerations stops. Pm_gen after few minutes drops to around 0.4,and this is it. Its a strange software glitch which I noticed even with 2.2 R2 motor in my previous mazda 6.

As explained above there are factors causing DPF failure. If not addressed the method of regeneration will not work. For people in 3rd world countries, regeneration may not work as desired because they cannot change their quality of fuel.
